Le Palais Garnier

The emblematic monument of the french culture

Dancing has always been a passion for me. When I was a kid, I practiced ballet. Ballet made me and still makes me dream. The entire atmosphere speaks to me: the costumes, the music, the dancers...

That is why I would like to talk to you about Le Palais Garnier. For me, this monument is a must-see place to visit.

Le Palais Garnier, also called the National Opera of Paris, is a symbolic place in Paris and its heritage. Located in the 9th arrondissement, le Palais Garnier is a temple of lyrical and choreographic opera. People go there to attend operas and ballets. Moreover, even if you are not a fan of these shows, you can still visit this historical monument. I suggest you go and take a look at the golden architecture of this emblematic place of French culture.

The art of dance

One of my most beautiful memories is when I was able to visit the Palais Garnier for the very first time with my mother. My eyes sparkled and I couldn't help smiling at the beauty of this place but also at its history. As we walked around, we saw the costumes of emblematic ballets such as The Swan Lake or La Bayadère. It was the high point of this visit. I was dreaming of being a ballerina wearing these sumptuous costumes.

Later, I was able to go and see several ballets at Le Palais Garnier. I recommend that you see one of them. You'll be amazed by the decor of the room, the ballerinas, the orchestra... I'm fascinated every time I go to see a show there. Being very sensitive to art and its beauty, I've always been thrilled by the performances I've seen at the Palais Garnier despite the high standards I expect.

Ballet is an art. As Martha Graham said, "Dance is the hidden language of the soul".
