Parisian Seine

Symbolic River

My dear readers,

Is Paris still Paris without the Seine? The Seine has always been part of the Parisian landscape.

Walking the capital along its mythical river is surely the best way to discover it. A walk along the Seine is a unique moment of relaxation.

Sit on the banks, enjoy a breath-taking view of Notre-Dame, watch the barges pass... As a couple, alone or with a book, enjoy a bucolic walk over the water!

Many Parisian places will parade before your eyes, the Ile de la Cité, the Ile Saint-Louis, the historic bridges crossing the banks, the Town Hall, the Orsay Museum, the Louvre.

The Seine is a romantic place where it is good to walk. The pedestrian docks are a real pleasure, both for strolling and resting.

Unusual Barges

The Seine is lined with wonderful barges that I discovered recently. A good number of them have chosen to deviate from their primary function: to sail on the river.

My dear readers, do you know the barge library? This transversal library on the theme of water and travel allows some escape! The decoration is also turned towards a marine world, bottled boats and dials alongside compasses and an old control lever.

At the foot of Notre-Dame, a barge had also caught my attention, La Nouvelle Seine. This unmissable address of the Parisian quays combines three atypical spaces of artistic and culinary discoveries: a bar, a restaurant and a theater! I had the chance to attend the "Burlesque Cabaret", a colorful show, with real burlesque and professional characters!

Day and night, enjoy a bucolic stroll along the Seine to discover all the splendor of the banks and monuments of Paris!

See you soon!
